Will the NX do 200k?
Thanks for the encouraging update. Curious at approximate what mileages did you have the turbo, transmission, injectors, and headers replaced? And was it precautionary or as a result of some early symptoms of failure? TY!!
All good questions. I want to add: How much was to replace each component and did you do this at dealer or... Thanks.
I’m out of town for work at the moment but when I get home I will give you the specifics of each repair. Also, I left out the replacement of the main seal 3 times.
The check engine light came on with all issues. I took my NX directly to the dealership. All were completed under warranty and extended warranty with unlimited mileage, which I capped out on both.

I would expect that a Toyota/Lexus would go to 230k WITHOUT any major repairs, as long as it is well-maintained. I dread the thought of having to replace all of those things at 230k. WOW !!!
81,335 - oil leak - rear main seal replaced $1,458
145,000 - Code P25B “wastegate stuck”- turbo $5,437
163,100 - P0713 “transmission temp too high” - Transmission $11,147 (I had to pay for the rear main seal $820, which was less since the it was already taken apart)
197,352 - P0301 P0300 “Cylinder 1 misfire” - fuel injectors assembly replaced AND
197,360 - P219C - header replaced $11,550 (fuel injectors and header)
Note: maxed out extended warranty
197,767 - P0128 thermostat $840
200,185 - 4 direct fuel injector set $4424
209,411 - rear main seal $2,240
229,136 - P148D “manufacture code” - fuel valve replacement $890
Currently, my car is at the dealership for a P148D again at 230,100 miles.
I have also had the bushings, CV boots and something with the sway bar fixed, which was $4,000.
Unfortunately, right now is not a good time to buy with the interest rates being so high. I’m praying my NX lasts one more year. 230,000 miles is a lot of miles. Corporate has been keeping tabs on my NX since I have the highest mileage of any 2016.
I change the oil (Mobil-1 Synthetic) and filter (OEM) every 5,000 miles. I do about 18k/year, so the TIME interval doesn't work for me.
The following shows the Mileage at the time of replacement, DTC code, part replaced and the dealers charges without tax (note that my car was under warranty & extended warranty so the amount would be different if I actually paid for it).

Appreciate the detailed answer but one has to wonder if these were really the issue?
I also had the waste gate stuck as per the OBD reader... My buddy changed the solenoid out and boom, fixed.
I currently had a P301 error (which has disappeared) followed by a p2191 error.... My first thought is coil pack. I am in the middle of troubleshooting.
If it's warranty work, the dealer still gets paid for it and you don't pay a penny. If I owned that dealership I'd be throwing parts at it too!!!
I don't believe some of this work was required and they took advantage of the extended warranty and helped you out with new parts in the process that were not required.

And then you also have to wonder...did they ACTUALLY do the work?
I'd be curious to know what that dealer's reputation is at the BBB ! I use them as ONE of my many resources.
Any car can last 200000 miles if you are willing to pay.
Lexus are very expensive to repair.
Can only imagine what Euro’s must be like these days.
My NX 200t 2015, 120 000 miles has had
- 2 rear main seals. 1st under good will, 2nd $3500 Aus
-waste gate issue repaired under TSB warranty
-door actiator $770Aus
-delamination centre console arm rest $1200Aus for replacement
-Moon roof rattle, rubber replaced under warranty. Back again.
-sat nav screen anti-reflective coating coming off. Live with it.
-Constant battery drain issue. New 12v battery every 2 1/2 years.
-fuel pump (intermittent fail to start) replaced under recall.
-hood struts $660Aus !
-Also eats brakes and tyres which are pretty pricey compared to a RAV 4. But it is a Lexus
My most recent service requiring rear main seal, new battery, rear pads, and service itself was just over $5000Aus.
Days inconvenienced: 0.
Replacement car always provided.

I have a 2020 that I purchased 1/2021. Currently at 83k and have not had any problems whatsoever. Just normal maintenance - the most expensive were new tires recently (at about 80k), which cost me about $1k. Did the brakes on my own, which was probably the next most expensive item. Filters, OIL/filters, wiper blades, etc. Really not much done, I'm happy to say
