clublexus car show?
It may have been brought up before. But I think it would be cool to have a lexus car show. I know some companies that may sponsor.
Anyone else think or interested in try to start one up?

Well I seen how the premier pizza meet went and it gave me ideas.
It's will be open to non members of course as long as it's a lexus.
The 2 sponsors I know for sure would be in is my brother who has his own real estate business and my childhood friend family has a body shop in Campbell..Martys chop shop.
Finding a place would be kinda hard.but it also would depend on how many ppl would sign up of course.
My friends at martys chop shop have had a car show fundraiser it was about 20 cars. It had a jumper for kids bbq for food.
My brother knows someone who a taco truck and martys chop shop knows a person who owns the food truck.
Also have some shirts made

Don't mean to thread jack OP but You know I think it would be a good idea if we could set up a mini caravan or something to BLOX or wekfest later this year for the members attending. What do you think?

Personally, its not something I would do... (Although that shouldn't stop anyone from doing something if they want to do it lol). Show prep can be very very hectic.... working till the early hours of the morning making sure everything is ready to go. Members show their cars with different crews, and stage the day before (Usually there are staggered staging times), and usually you show up with the crew you are showing with.

It could be like a meet also. I don't know. Just tossing ideas to try to get something rolling.
And the wekfest parking last year was kinda crazy. It would hard to find a big group parking. Maybe on the 3rd and san carlos parking garage tip floor.

We've done many events in the past whIch included awards, but there are many big events out there that attract the car show crowd. We have many members with show Quality Lexus who compete at these shows and for many years CL members have taken home trophies.
Once an event is presented as a car show/ competition it actually limits the participants because people will not want to attend because it's not what their scene or they feel that their car is not show worthy.
In the past we had monthly meets with easily 20 to 50 cars and we had larger events with over 200 cars. Those days have long since past, as it appears
A successful meet is dependent upon the Organizer(s) of which we have a few veterans with experience helping out. I definitely welcome your input, but the key challenge is that we need DEDICATED and ACTIVE members to support these activities.
There will be several veteran members (3 - 10 years) attending tonight, and there will be some show quality cars as well. The veterans have been to dozens of meets over the years, so what is needed to grow our community is for the new members to come out REGULARLY !
