Northern California "CERTIFIED" Events Calendar for 2011

Track conditions are poor when it is still hot.
Plus we're all on hot black top so it's pretty toasty until end of summer.
School starts eh?
That reminds me since I am boosted, they say I gotta wear a helmet and a fireproof jacket to be allowed to run.
Hope they waive that requirement like last year, but this might be a good excuse for me to pick up a helmet.
Plus we're all on hot black top so it's pretty toasty until end of summer.

Yes it's Sunday, but did you catch the location is in LA?????
We usually drive down Friday and return home Monday.
If this event were not worth the trip it would not be listed in the Certified Calendar. Any veteran member that has made the trip will tell you what fun it is. The 6 hour caravan to LA and 6 hour return caravan alone is fun itself.
Big meets require planning 6 months to a year ahead of time, just to get it on the calendar. Meets not in our core Bay Area proximity are one step harder to make happen. This years calendar is pretty much filled aside from adding on some mini meets.
The Folsom meet there were about 60 cars of which 55 cars drove 2 hours to get there and 5 were locals. Sadly it's difficult to expect a following when the local participation is low. The most distant meet outside of LA meets is the CVG meet. Again the undertaking for CVG to happen required a veteran member with Meet Experience to organize, drive and own it, plus the cooperation of the NorCal Coordinator staff and the active members to support attending it.
CVG will probably be the closest meet for SAC members this year.
