Default Bloody Sales Tax Rate.. What to do now in NorCal?

God~ My NorCal buds~~

I have been working way too hard and not knowing this till I was told by the accounting department.

So the sales tax will be increased by 1 point (+1%) more from April 1st, or about +13% overall adjustment ( 1% / 8% = 12.5% ).

My wife just order me to buy and stock up all necessary so we can save the 1% increase... but all I can think is about cars will cost 1% more from April 1st.

What do you guys think? Anythign to do now or regret later?? Need some high IQ advises please...

"Lets talk about tax baby~~"

-----
Its Friday and now I am going to meet our local Lex buds, in Milpitas. BRB tonight!

I don't really care about the grocery cuz not much we can save anyway. $500 grocer

I am just wondering if there is something that we should do now so no regret later. Something that I never thought of, something that can do the real saving, something that really help..

Actually one of my company's lease vehicle will expire on 4/10, and I am having a hard time to adjust signing off a new contract or not. The econ crisis just make me feel not to spend any right now, plus the new sales tax...

Sigh~

ps. maybe I just need a good excuse for a new car. muhahaha~

Does this only apply to Northern Cal? I heard it was a statewide increase. Can someone confirm? Also, DMV registration fees will be going up along with sales tax as well.

This is statewide - California needs it bad. I also read that DMV fees will go up as well.

i think i have high IQ...

.. time to buy lots of vehicles and stock up.... i have extra space in my garage. i will park my IS outside.. please park your brand new ISF in my garage. Thanks. Make sure you leave a copy of the keys by the door.

I'll also wash daily. You can do this until your lease expires on the other car, then u can have your car back

YES, BUY MORE TO SAVE MORE.... THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT.

Women always find themself missing a pair of shoes, and guys always need an additional car for special purposes.

ehh really the 1% is negligible for normal purchases like groceries etc etc.

if you buy a 50,000 car, then thats $500 more...which is a lot if you take the number by itself, but how often do you buy a 50K car?
