Lexus Tech doing private work??
Anyone know a Lexus dealership in NJ/PA that allows techs to do private work?
I am nearing a timing belt job and would like to buy the parts myself and use a Lexus master tech to do the job privately using dealership facilities.
Lexus of Cherry Hill in NJ does not allow their techs to do private jobs at the facility but I heard some places allow it.
Does anyone know of a Lexus dealership that allows it in NJ or PA?
Any help is appreciated!

good luck with that! My advice would be to find a well established private mechanic who specializes in Toyotas. We are lucky to have one in my town. http://www.lextechautomotivellc.com/
BUT they are NOT that much cheaper than the dealer, but they are very honest and won't upsell or fix anything that isn't broken.

Try GT Japanese in Edison, NJ. I live in the Phila. area and I could find a total of ZERO Japanese specialists (this is why sometimes it's nicer to have a AMG Mercedes or BMW M car as indies are a dime a dozen).
It's pretty painful calling around--you get the impression so called Japanese experts are unfamiliar with the LS430. My first go round with it was looking for someone to press out and in, the LCA bushings.
As far as cheaper, I would say the timing belt is not quite but almost half. Plus they do a superior job to the dealership.
