is there anywhere (preferably near MD) that has used/salvage parts for LS430? over in the LS430 section, i read about guys finding great deals on used parts off parts cars. i can't find anything local or honestly even on the east coast. i will search craigslist & i will go from NJ/NY down to South Carolina and i might see one or 2 ads if i'm lucky. is there a place that anyone knows of?


basically i'm looking for a hood for my 05 LS430.

One other note you might not think of... probably worth finding one the same color code as your car if you can to save on having it painted if it's in decent enough shape

 

yes. that is what i was looking for. it's funny there is one on the list when i search the USA field that i was looking at on ebay. he claims it's in excellent condition with no damage at all. that might be the way to go. i don't think my hood can be painted again. the clear coat was peeling/fading when it was my wife's daily driver. i used spray paint and clear coat and it actually turned out ok. but after a year/year and a half, that started to fade. someone said to try the plasti-dip with glossifier. but that was a mistake. looks like crap. so my original hood, although in very good shape, has layers of extra paint on it. so i don't know how a body shop would handle that. that's why i was figuring buying one that's the same color & that might be cheaper.
