>>> For those of you who haven't tuned in, some of us have been discussing of holding a CL meet in the Bear Mountain park area. I took a preliminary trip out there last weekend, and was amazed at the beautiful scenery and landscaping, as well as the mountainside and potentially twisty drives. Since the pressure is on to have some kind of meet planned soon, I decided to pull strings together and take part in organizing the BM meet, so bear with me as I carefully lay out the details of our trip there.

INTRO
The Bear Mountain park area and the 7 Lakes Drive have long been a favorite locale for the MBWorld, and especially, Audiworld men and women. It's about time for ClubLexus to step up to the plate, so let's form the game plan for the 6/29 date. Here's what I tentatively propose:

AGENDA (Sunday, June 29)
1) 11:30AM-12:30PM... Meet, get acquainted and organized at the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area (exit 17, Palisdades Pkwy).

2) 12:30PM-2PM... BBQ picnic at the recreation area (there are grilles at the place, availability questionable).

3) 2PM-3:30PM... Drive down and up 7 Lakes Parkway (we'll have stops for photo opps). Recover at Anthony Wayne.

4) 3:30PM-5PM... Drive to Bear Mountain park, and make similar stops for photo shoots and breathtaking views.

5) 5PM-???... We can go on our own, stick around the park, recreation area, go home, etc...

DIRECTIONS
Anthony Wayne Recreation Area and Bear Mountain Park are situated in the Harriman State Park, and are about 40 miles north of NYC.

For those coming from NJ, take either I-287 or the Garden State Pkwy to Palisdaes Pkwy north, and off at exit 17. For those coming from Long Island, NYC boroughs and Westchester, take the Tappan Zee Bridge west to Palisades Pkwy north, and off at exit 17. For those coming from Connecticut, take I-84 west to I-684 south to Tappan Zee Bridge west to Palisades Pkwy north, and off at exit 17.

Anyone want to form mini-caravans to drive to the recreation area, please post here and inform others.

Absolutely! He is more than welcome to come up. This meet is for anyone (and for any car) who's interested in a good old-fashioned warm gathering in a spectacular state park filled with spirited and potentially challenging drives, and of course food and drinks. I'm planning to bring along a friend too, who will be bringing his modded S-class. Please spread the word, especially to those who don't check into or know about ClubLexus.

It'd also be a good idea if any of you who are coming volunteer which items from the list you plan to bring, and post up. I will continually update the 1st post.

Do you know how to get on I-287N???? If so take that to I-287W, take that over the Tappan Zee Bridge get off at exit 3 (im pretty sure) Taconic State PKWY, follow that to the Yorktown Heights exit, make a left off exit(202). Go straight about 2 miles, when road forks bear left(202), at Todville Plaza make left onto Forest Ave.

Unfortunately, there is no specific address indicated for the Anthony Wayne Recreation Area in Bear Mountain, NY, but if you type in "Bear Mountain, NY" in Mapquest, Yahoo! Maps, etc., you'll get a pretty good layout of the general area. The directions I stated in the original post should be manageable for all coming from different directions, so here they are again:
