There used to be a lot of late night street racing in springfield (north of hartford 30 min) but recently they busted it up when they found it getting as big as 1500 spectators (it was like grid lock!)

let me know and i can point you in the right direction....

 

Fireballs, there is a spot dwntwn Hartford called Bar With No Name, and its always 3:1 girls:guys!! (dont tell your girl that though) it is about 10-15min from UConn, they play mostly HipHop/R&B/little Reggae. There is also a spot right across the street from there that I cant think of, but they play a diff type of music.

i'm into the club scene, any nice restaurants around as well, my g/f said the brickyard is nice, what do you think? i won't be telling her your ratio either.

clubs, there are many.... friday nights you got euro style clubs somewhat dressy (players and stuff) like blu and enchanted gardens, brickyard is busy any night, it's the biggest place with a big variety of people and ages. lots of girls. Burbon street is a cool place, 21-27 mostly, more of the real drinkers, usually bands but not hard rock stuff. Vado (euro style) was a good place on fridays but havn't been there in a while. There's also a few sports bars if that's what you like. It all depends what night you go, some clubs are only good on certain nights.

30 min north on 91 is a place called Hippodrome. Worth checking out on a saturday. It's huge and more classy.

Everything is within walking distance and you can go to a few. For restaurants there's a lot. Hot Tomatoes is a good one but i don't eat down that way much.
