I talked to the NYC parks department today; the 14th of June is unforunately taken so I decided to take the 22nd of June which is the following Sunday.
The permit is still pending but it sounds like we have a good chance getting it. I'm not 100% certain but it looks like we will have the entire, if not, most parking lot and a picnic section to ourselves without distraction.
As of right now, I'm waiting for them to mail out the permit but I don't want to set anything in stone until I have the permit in hand...Details and secondary thread about this meet will be posted here once I get this taken care of..
All in all, good news all around...I'm excited about this meet and I hope you guys feel the same way...Hopefully, I can contact some vendors soon so we can get some freebies to give out to all attendees...

This is awesome. I haven't been on CL since I went to the Lexotic meet in Jersey. It was awesome to see a group that was organized as well as welcoming, and it was just a great time. I'd love to see that here in the northeast section. I've been trying to get some revival in this section here and there, and it seems like it was going to be a difficult process.
I'd love to meet up with more people, and have a positive environment. It's great to see people finally wanting to meet up as well.

Also, I'd love to have some people here in CT if anyone wanted to learn or give tips about detailing. I don't have a huge place, but I do have enough space for a few cars and we could have a little bbq

Despite me being a vegetarian and not being able to eat any bbq stuff, lol
