Honestly like mentioned above, No one really gives a crap. Most people in NYC are not car enthusiasts, and believe bumpers are there to be "bumped" Most people in NYC are too in a rush to ever care. Wait till the congestion planning goes into effect and people have to pay to drive into Manhattan. you are going to see car packed into spaces like sardines!

I have lived 30+ years in NYC. I see the writing on the wall. It's just a matter of time before all the poor middle class people that worry about our bumpers move out due to frustration and cost, and the ultra wealthy people take over the entire city.

I think if you plan on parking in NYC you are bound to get scratches probably not even worth respraying because its just bound to happen again. We live in a city where some people dont know when to stop reversing until they bump the car behind them. I dont even think it matters how many layers of extra added film people put on their bumpers, because its not gonna stop the scratches. I have seen people back so hard into a parked car you can see the car behind sway back and forth. Just better off buying an inexpensive but reliable beater like a toyota corolla for ex and call it a day. I love my corolla
