Get a custom plate guys; it might save you a ticket or two. Cops usually not attentive when writing down your actual plate when it's custom. They write down the wrong plate number all the time. A plate that doesn't make sense to a non-enthusiast will definitely help a bunch. I got away from 3 tickets this year.

I had the same problem with my Mustang GT when I was living there. I always got away with it; I just told them I didn't have a bracket for it and they let me go. Sounds like a picture item. Swap plates with someone and take a pic then go to court and show the pic. They should throw it out at that point.

He means that sometimes the cops are not smart enough to properly write down custom plates. One Hot's plate is his engine code, and i'm guessing the cops he's dealt with end up scrambling up the letters and so he gets away with it.

too bad they now rock a nice bar code reader and a thermal printer. they don't don't have to write a damn thing...your plate info prints out of the printer from the registration sticker scan.
