I want to give props to Sewell Dallas, too. I bought a used 2002 RX many years ago. I live 6 hours away. Walked up to the location in shorts and thought for sure I was going to feel out of place and not welcomed (I'm not rich and thought for sure they'd look down to me). I was absolutely shocked at the way I was treated.
Joe Martinez (now retired) was the absolute best salesman I've ever dealt with, period. He was extremely accommodating, let me take the keys to whatever car I wanted and test drive it for however long I wanted. Later that day, I went to Park Place to look at an RX - salesman was absolute crap - fed me all the lines salesreps do. I also drove to Sewell Fort Worth to look at a car - that salesrep, while nice I guess, didn't seem to want to deal with us...felt like he thought he was wasting his time, plus their prices were a bit higher on similar cars than the Dallas dealership was. Of course, I ended up going back to Sewell Dallas the next day - test drove the car one more time (another pleasant experience...I walked up to him in his office and told him I wanted to drive it again - he ran to get the keys and handed them to me and said have fun). After the test drive, I bought the car - after the sale, he ended up giving me those nice Lexus keychains (at the time anyway), and a new cargo net.

I'm finally in the market for a new RX and went back to Sewell Dallas. I was up front with the saleman (as I am now with all sales people I encounter) and mentioned that we had the best experience last time we bought a car and I don't need to be pushed in to buying something or fed a bunch of BS. The salesman I'm dealing with now basically bent over backwards to find me a car with everything I wanted. I ended up ordering a car because nothing seemed to come available (now I'm in for a long wait...it's been about a month so far).

Any time I'm in the market for a Lexus, I know where to go - no need looking anywhere else, even with dealerships that are closer to me.

MORS: I know you're far but you should try their service department next time you're up there. Ask for a tour. I've been taking my car there since 2007. 2 Lexus(s). Lets just say... I drive by Park Place Lexus/Plano to get to Sewell.

I'm at the point where if I leave the Lexus car family, I'll have to buy a brand that Sewell has a dealership around here.

I bought my car at Park Place Lexus as a CPO. I purchased an extended warranty too. What do you guys think about going to different dealerships in this situation? I know it SHOULD be no problem, but I have heard from folks that sometimes the dealerships don't take too kindly to it. I mean, they get reimbursed anyway, right, so theoretically it shouldn't be a problem?

Since Park Place moved it is even further away for me living in Denton so I'm thinking Grapevine looks pretty good?

It shouldn't be a problem since all the Lexus services are recorded in their online database. I bought the Lexus extended warranty and they said it's good for any dealership in the USA.

I'm actually kind of surprised you've never gone to Sewell Dallas. Give it a try and you might not go to another dealership.

I've taken my car to Sewell a handful of times in the past 4 months and have nothing but good things to say. The service dept doesn't try to jack up the prices or cheat me. I had an issue with the bulb/ballast and was quoted $575. They called me later saying that bc of the condensation issue, it is covered 100% under warranty so the service is free.

I've always been offered a loaner even when it was for an oil change. The only gripe I have about Sewell is no food. Wilde Lexus of Sarasota use to have bagels, donuts, fruits and fresh cookies. I've only seen fruits in the Loaner Dept but not in the Showroom/Waiting area.

I'll agree, great bunch of people, no BS. VERY easy to work with, no surprises. I've had good experiences with Park Place Grapevine as well.

I have had service work done at Sewell Lexus Dallas and Park Place Lexus Plano and both have provided excellent service. I think Park Place has improved in the past few years. I have ordered parts from both - both have been excellent sources. Sewell has the best web site for parts and their CL discount is nice.

I can't speak to the quality of Sewell Dallas service, but I have recently had a great experience with the new car sales department there. I just purchased a new RX and a new GS last week. I am taking delivery on both cars......get this...... on Sunday! Yep, this will be the first time in my life I have taken delivery of a car on a Sunday. Not only that, but the salesperson and a relative of hers are driving both cars to our house to deliver them. Curbside service. First class, no doubt.

I just picked up my used 2007 GS 350 and Randy Brown, their used Internet Sales Specialist, was the best salesman that I have ever dealt with. Total of maybe 45 minutes total spent in the dealership including with finance.

Sewell has set the STANDARD in the car buying experience, IMHO.

I made a mistake from buying from Park Place in Plano and i regret that i did not give my business to SEWELL, because the sales rep at SEWELL was much better then the the one i was dealing at Park Place.

Make no mistakes, i will give my business to SEWELL when i get my next Lexus.

I'm looking to purchase a GS350 F-Sport. Can anyone recommend a good dealer or sales guy in the Houston area?

Park Place always had an air of snootyness to me. Never got this vibe from Sewell even if I was dressed like I just came from a homeless shelter.

I recently bought a 4LS from Sewell in Ft Worth, and frankly it was quite possibly one of the best experiences i've had concerning buying a car.

I would agree... SEWELL are great when it comes to Customer Service & Quality. I bought my first LEXUS ES350 from ParkPlace (they beat Swell bu $500_) however I got my RCF from SEWELL and wont ever go back to Park Place.

Fully agree with this post. I recently bought a used GS from PP Grapevine and felt uneasy through the whole experience- It was their demeanor, unfriendliness, and impatience. It was nothing like the great experience I had when buying my wife's NX from Sewell Ft Worth. I would have loved to buy from Sewell but the ideal GS was at PP. I would recommend Sewell to anyone over PP.
