I'm selling this 2002 Audi A4. "AS-IS." It does need repairs, just some things I do not wish to tackle right now. It has a salvage title from a minor/major fender bender but has since been repaired back in late 2010/2011.
The car runs and drives but it needs work. I have been lead to believe, due to recent findings, that the car has a harness issue. I found some poor harness repairs near the ECU connection. It clearly makes sense now, especially since the car diagnostic tool will intermittently read "no link." The car will intermittently go into limp mode. Driving poorly. I suggest brind a trailer to take it home.
These are some areas that need attention, and or possible replacement. I suspect for sure a new engine harness is needed judging by the quality of the faulty "repair." This can be sourced on ebay for no more than $150.
Optional items that may need attention after the harness is replaced:
ECU & Reprogramming - $210-$220
If the ECU replacement does not fix the car issues the following are also suspect
VSS $75
MAF $85
O2 $90
TQ Converter $500 ( Parts & Labor )
If this is a job you can handle, and don't mind investing another grand ( 1,000 ) into a stylish commuter then feel free to contact me.
