1987 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86, Built Motor w/ ITB's
Description:
1987 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex AE86 (Kouki) ~ Price: $15k -SOLD-
You will more than likely not come across another AE86 this clean and this well built. Every aspect of this car has been modified by AE86/Hill Climb Specialist Shop "K Powers" in Japan. The beauty of the car is the stubbleness in which it has been modified. It is also important to add this car is 100% FEDERALLY LEGAL, this car was imported legally by myself under the 25 year old rule, and I have the proper supporting paper work that will be included with the vehicle to the new owner. I have a customs release and bond release for this car!! The car is currently titled, registered, inspected, and insured in Virginia. You can rest assured the feds will NEVER come knocking on your door (You're Welcome).
The original 4AGE Blue Top High Compression Engine has been modified and built with the following parts:
HKS Cams
HKS Cam Gears
High Compression Pistons
FGK Header
FGK Mid Pipe
Individual Throttle Bodies
K Powers Tuned ECU
5 Zigen Pro Racer Catback W/ Burned Tip
Greddy External Oil Cooler
Greddy Oil Filter Relocation Kit
Unlike the majority of cars with built engines, this car starts every time on the first rotation. It is literally the most reliable car with a built engine I have ever come across. If it didn't sound so good you would swear it was a brand new stock Toyota. The car is also surprisingly quick if you have ever driven a standard 4AGE you know they are not exactly fast... this one will not disappoint you!
The suspension on this car has also been heavily upgraded with:
K Powers Front Coilovers
K Powers Front Camber Plates
K Powers Rear Struts (Ride Height Adjustable)
K Powers Rear Springs
K Powers Adjustable Rear Lateral Arm
K Powers Stainless Brakes Lines
K Powers Brake Pads
Cusco Front Strut Bar
The exterior on this car is also one of the cleanest you will find in the states, with extremely minimal defects for a car of this age. Just about no door dings, or major imperfections. The underside of the car is almost a clean as the rest of the car. There is almost no rust on the car (as you would expect for a car of this age). I can provide serious buyers with undercarriage pictures and of what very little rust there is on the car.
The wheels are Genuine Watanabe's in a rare original dark gunmetal color and are in great shape! I have the sizes and offests written down, and I will post them once I find them. The lip is an OEM Zenki lip and the bumper and lip have been modified so each fit perfectly.
Interior is extremely clean only one crack in the dash, and the drivers seats has been replaced by a Bride Bucket.

The conversions/modifications/inspections/crash testing/etc your refer to are only needed to bring in cars newer than 25 years.
The 25 year rule is completely exempt from FMVSS and any and all regulatory standards via the NHTSA, as well as the EPA.

^^^ Just to add that any local state inspections or requirements still apply, as it would to any car on the road in the owners local state of residence.
In VA state inspections are just annual tire/brakes/lights/blinkers/horn/fluids/wipers/belts/hoses/etc check in which this car was just inspected at a Toyota dealership in VA and issued an inspection sticker earlier this month with no issues.

You are incorrect. He clearly stated the car IS FEDERAL and STATE legal. Which means, the car is LEGAL in CA. If you read the law on how the car was imported will see what he is claiming is absolutely true.
All he was saying is the car must pass any applicable state emissions or safety inspections, which it wouldn't have a problem doing in CA.

The car has been -SOLD-, thanks to those who inquired about purchasing this car. It now has an owner that just needs a job delivering tofu to live out initial-d in real life..
This was one nasty little car that really surprised those that got to drive it.
