FS: 1998 Jetta TDI

FS: 1998 Jetta TDI
I have a 1998 Jetta TDI (turbo diesel).
-88,000 miles.
-5 speed.
-Kenwood CD player
-Power windows, locks, mirrors
-Black exterior, grey cloth interior.
-40 to 45 MPG.
-Good overall condition.
Asking $6,975
The good: car runs extremely well. The transmission shifts very smooth. No grinding gears, nothing bad at all. Turbo spools up well. CD player works great. Not the most killer stereo, but it's really just a commuter car. Still sounds good though. Interior is in pretty good shape. Paint is also in good shape. Has the usual nicks and scuffs, but once I can put it through a good detail it will probably clean up better than most cars on the road.
The bad: the car is throwing a check engine light. I took it to the VW dealership and they think that it's something to do with the transmission. Since the car has given me less problems than my Lexus, I just never found the need to spend $95 to have it looked into. The previous owner was a casual smoker, as I was told. There is a cigarette burn in the driver's seat that I am having fixed. There is no smoke smell at all in the car. You'd never guess a smoker owned it except for the burn. The driver's seat support on the left side has flattened out. My dad thinks it's uncomfortable, but it doesn't bother me.
Cliffs: see above.
I can try to get pics this week.
