I spoke to one of the park personal this morning.

I am working on obtaining the permit - will keep everyone abreast shortly.

 

I'm planning to depending on work travel. I'll ask around VA to see who's down to go. I'll let you know as it gets closer

I have been getting a few request to make this meet into a lil BBQ session. I have no problem w/ doing so especially if we will be getting a permit (pending approval from NYC parks & rec). A BBQ can be a lot of work and involve a lot of assistance from each and everyone in attendance. I was thinking before our event conclude we can find a spot with a nice size parking lot and go grab a bite.

As for the BBQ, we will need a grill, beverages, cooler, food and more food etc... If someone provides a grill I can load everything up in my Infiniti FX and bring it down. I might also need a driver with clean driving history if none of my friends can make it to drive my truck.

Things I have for the BBQ:
Cooler (one big one small), transportation, chicken/turkey burgers, bottle water (50)

Major items we will need:
Grill, additional cooler, food (everyone bring something weather it's food for the grill, beverages, snacks....) Ice

i can bring whatever if your guys want to turn it into a bbq.

also want to gather up the jersey heads so we can get a caravan going and roll together.

 

Providing plates, cups, cutlery and napkins for everyone is no problem for me . I also have a 10 x 10 canopy (actually 2) that I can provide if we need it.

 

Im down with a caravan.

 

cool . we just need to find the most low car friendly route and find a spot on the way for all of us to meet.

 

darn not only am i gonna miss the meet but im gonna miss the bbq too!? helllls no... i should be done with my photos by 6pm. if you guys are still there ill swing by..

 

Jw how r the roads up there? I am going to have any problems getting there?
