Default 3rd Gen GS or 2004+ LS430?

Hey guys,

So I'm looking at perhaps getting a new car, but can't really decide between the 3rd gen GS or an LS430. I really want an LS430 with the ultra luxury package, but I can only find those in the older years, and I really like the remodeled body of the 2004+. Has anyone driven both of these vehicles yet? I know the GS's are newer, but does the LS430 still provide a smoother / more comfortable ride? Can anyone with any of these cars provide some input? Thanks!

I used own a 05 LS430 and now own a GS350 AWD... It really depends on the type of car you want. Long body boat or sporty sedan. Both are great cars, just depends on what you are looking for. PM me if you have any questions.

I have a 05 LS430 UL and have since put on coilivers. I put money that my LS is sportier with coils then a 3gs stock

But yeah it really depends on ur driving style and wants/needs. If u were a vip purist I think the choice would be simple, LS430. But if u are gonna leave it stock and want something that is the best of all worlds then I say the s. A stock LS430UL is like a big floaty caddi. I used to own a GS400 and when I first switched to the LS it was a huge jump to a soft super luxo boat. But hands down now I much prefer the LS. The LS UL was the lex flagship for 6 years straight. And u can get a 06 UL if u search real hard and that is the same year range of the 3gs'ss start. I don't think the tech is older in function at all, in fact it rivals many other, but the nav screen does look dated. The LS is not for everyone, but its like ordering a drink neat in a nice sifter instead of a beer or a mix drink.
