i had a NY state trooper run my plates today..very obvious though. pulled up on the lane next to me but a car length back, took about 30 seconds or so and he just bounced after seeing my record was clean.

I hear you, I don't know how the VA people make out. I avoid going to VA as much as I can.

 

No ****, Ive tried to avoid VA since they started killing people with the speeding tickets/ jail.....ecspecially on my bike, they seem to have a thing for sport bikes in va.

I had the profiling thing happen to me as well, in my damn neighborhood (Crofton). I took my Lexus out on a saturday night to go to the redbox with my wife. Were coming back, driving through my neighborhood. One of the local cops drives by me and is staring me down like I matched a damn armed robbery subject or something. keep in mind, im in a neighborhood with a 25 mph speed limit. He swings around and lights me up. He comes up literally with his hand on his 9mil and asks for my license. I didnt have it becuase I walked out of the house in a hurry, It was like a 5 mile round trip. I told him that I lived at the end of the street and we could go to my house and I would give it to him. He ran my plates and came back with a 110% different attitude. He came back with I apologize Mr Williams, i didnt realize you lived in Crofton. Have a wonderful evening!

I couldnt believe that ****. I was pissed, I have neighbors passing me while IM pulled over, one step away from being laid out on the pavement. Come to think of it, he never did say why he pulled me over to begin with.

Moral of the story, dont ride through a primarily yuppy neighborhood with a gangster ride.......even if you do live there!

Dag Jeff, that's crazy. AA cops never bothered me at all and I've never been pulled over by them but then again I just drive through for work or to go by Ben's.

 

I made an illegal U-ey (didn't see the sign) last weekend (leaving annapolis), got pulled over, dude was all suspicious, ran my stuff, gave me warning and was very friendly. I don't recall ever getting a warning in VA. MD cops are 1000% better cops than VA cops. To me the cop seemed like it was as much a waste of his time even pulling me over as it was our time, guy seemed to be in a hurry to get back on the road after some bikes flew by us. VA cops would have taken their sweet *** time and then tried to search my car and inspect for any little thing they could have added to the ticket.

 

Not even AA County, it was our local Crofton Police Dept.

 

I have been lucky enough to only get warnings in VA. Except for tint tickets. Sine my car has 5% and certified in Md. You need to have. MD State Troopers sign off on letter. The reasoning in VA when I get the ticket is because I am not in MD so the letter means nothing. Illegal tint in VA is and $60 or $80 fine.

 

ive been driving my gs over 2yrs with limo tint and no problems! i see a cop roll at the windows down and sunroof poops open ASAP....tilll......earlier this week! got pulled over and he said it was 2% i was like dam thats wuts up, he looks at me nd says roll it down just a little and he rips the tint off! im looking at him like WTF no u just didnt! i was about to beat the LIVING HELL out of him! **** MOCO police! but im getting it done again i took them all off already, my boy owns a tint shop, this will b his 2nd time tinting it again lol

so how did you get them to sign off on it? yeah i paid about 4 of those va tint tickets before i changed my plates from va to md ( i was living in md at the time but due to mil status had va plates on still and every time i drove into va with my 2% limo tint on the white gs got ticketed).

never knew va cops had warnings to give out.

OP: I hope you got his badge number; cause if I got tailed like that in my car i'd be filing a complaint against him cause he could have caused you to wreck by following too closely.

 

its like dat everywhere, you gotta remember cops are just people and with that said just like there are a bunch of ******* people, some cops fall into that catergory more so than not, they do what they do cause they know they can get away with it its yoyr word against theres, with that said heres my lil horror story im driving down thw highway now im actually going the speed limit but I wasnt flying either when this jeep just blows pass me as I was just about to change lanes so he goes by me so I signal again merge into the lane when whos behind highway patrol hes right on my *** its lil bit of traffic, but he stays riding my *** I then signal the right cause my exit is coming up and so does he so im like ok **** head is gonna pull me over sure enuff there go the lights I oull over on the curb he gets out and with an attitude you dont stay still im like wtf, so in my mind im thinking ok he mustve been pulled over on the side not paying attention the jeep that flew by me he must of clock him but by the time he got his head out his *** I cut him off, so he gives me a speeding ticket I go to fight it he shows up all dress to hilt says his story I explain my sdie the judge looks at me and pretty much tells me now who am I supposed to believe an officer of the court or you that the system for you to serve and screw you when ever they can

 

oh and did I mention he didnt have a radar gun he did that guesstamation crap that they let them use to clock your speed so basically since I got in his way of getting the other guy he gave it to me cause like the judge said who is he gonna believe
