just got the new 19's clean and ready for action
The wheels do look really good. Congrats
I agree with IcEnPinKi though the V8 badge is out of place. I think it would look much cleaner without it.

i agree that it does look more clean without it, but you guys don't think it looks more old school s600 (esk) with it on?? i'd like to get the rear debadged as well or maybe leave the L and debadge the rest but that is like 500$ and what if the next buyer wants them on??
also thought about getting the lexus + ls430 part painted the same exact color as the car what do you guys think that would look like.

Tell you the truth man I would take the V8 off and then leave the rest as is.
If I had a LS I would keep it as clean/simple with the modds as possible. Thats just me though.
Whats the process with overriding the stock bags?

thanks for the comments guy,
smitty: yeah man chris was pretty cool, asked me if i knew you, i said yeah we talked a little about vip style cars and the lack of them in this area. had some nice cars up there for sure though. i'm not sure if i'm gonna make the bbq on account of my significant other not being nearly as into cars as i am, oh well i'm not nearly as into cooking as she is
chancellor: when the car was mostly stock i wanted the v8 there just sort of as a place holder to signify 'future mods a comin' but now i am really considering taking it off. i did a poll a while back and the majority said to rip em off and throw em away (that was one of my poll choices). in japan this is a popular location to place little small badges of the sort and i was always fond of the old s600 with the v12 badges in the same location. maybe i'll put em on my wifes scion xA
along with some left over lex badges i gots laying around, which i actually did see (lex badges) last january in osaka. funny stuff.
they make this controller called 'datasystems controller' model asc680 (pretty rare in the states but everywhere in jp) and then you just buy the correct wiring harness for the model you have and any lex with the factory air suspension will be completely controllable via the little controller. it has 5 presets and a secret little menu for the lowest setting
, can't drive on the lowest setting but it sure looks nice for parking lot pimpin. only downside is that it occasionally acts up and tries to out think itself and change the height settings on the fly (while driving) which is pretty damn annoying the few times it has happened to me. like the back will be all the way up like a freakin donk and the front will stay at whatever you set it at. it takes a long time to go all the up and all the way down but its much cleaner looking and cheaper than aftermarket.
phillygs3: will do for sure.

I personally like the debadged look. To me it looks alot cleaner. All it costs is alittle time and alittle compound to get the badges off. Its just like a double sided tape thats holding them on. I still have the badges from my ES and SC..the next buyer can have them both...lol

sorry icenpink ^ ^ ^ my last gs400 was like this and yes i debadged it myself. the 05 ls430 has holes behind 'all' the badges and these will have to be bondoed sanded and painted over (i've heard others paid 500$ and this was even on the cheap side of estimates). if it was the same as yours it would already be debadged
i didnt know that...oh well..id keep them on then
$500 bucks
