hello everyone.

my dad just bought a car from an auction today that has 20% tint all the way around. we need to have the car inspected but we REALLY REALLY dont want to remove the tint.

is there any people or shops that you guys would know to pass the inspection? everything else will pass with flying colors just the tint is an issue.

if you live in PA tint is inspect able it is NOT illegal.

you know this is a very touchy subject, right?? its like coming on here and asking where you could score some dope!!!

a shop could loose their license as well as hefty fines if they were found guilty of doing this. with that being said i found 2 places willing to do it after talking to them and proving to them that i was not a cop and just wanted my car which had 2% tint to be inspected & pass in MD. just take the car up to some poor looking shop and offer to pay a good amount of cash up front, cash in hand usually helps them out to make up their mind.

Bottom line, in MD you will not pass any legal inspection with 20% tint on the windows. Your safest bet is to ust take the tint off of the 2 front windows and have retinted at a later time. No more than 35% tint is the legal limit allowed. As Sojah stated, those shops have to sign off on a waiver stating that they did a legal inspection and at the time the car was seen, it complied with all applicable MD regulations/laws required in order to pass inspection. Most shops are not willing to risk their license to operate with the risk of falsifying an inspection.

Although there may be a way to "get around" everything, there is a considerable risk that you take in doing so. This "hookup" method is not advocated here on the open forums, nor will it be advertised. This being said,,,,,
