Cool, I do wholesale parts at Lexus of Rockville. We get calls from you guys time to time.
But for real, Cutting Edge Tint does A++ work. I have seen so many cars that he has done and all of them look amaizing.

I agree he does great work top notch!
For those who want to be cheap and get $99 tint I would say you get what you pay for. Hope them shops are still around when it goes purple, lol. You probably buy your parts at auto zone too. What brand tint are they using? What is the heat reduction? There's alot of info out there about tint so you might wanna educate yourself before going to these cheap places.
Quality window tint is all I want on my Lexus.
Oh and yeah, I was wondering what happened to Fresh Designs in CP, glad I found this thread

Know your audience dude before you try and dis them. Quality doesnt = price you paid, sorry to disillusion you.
And yes I do buy my parts at auto zone and the dealer and any place else I need to go to get them even the salvage yard....OMG and I even shop on ebay. Guess I'll be banned from CL now for sure.
Didn't mean to imply that if you get things for a low price it's automatically low quality but when new shops show up they want alot of volume and they put out these cheap prices to tint and then they are gone. But some reputable shops may just like to make their profit off sheer volume...
My point was one thing that's important to me is heat reduction % and whether it's metallic film or not and I can't imagine getting something acceptable to me with a skilled tinter with a clean shop that won't leave dust or other crap in between the window and tint for $99. If so, point me in that direction and tell me how long they have been in business and I will gladly go there. Alot of people just say oh $99 sounds good. Don't know 1 thing about the film nor do they care, so... To each his own...

They have been around for over 5 years at least. I do my research and would not trust it otherwise. I've had 4 or 5 cars done there. I was offering a cost effective solution to people but since everyone is baller on here I guess the preference is to pay more.
As far as film type and heat reduction I don't know and dont care. Ive seen alot of tint jobs done and not impressed with most. Also, unless you have a waiver you run the risk of having your tint pulled at least from your front windows if your dark, as most are, and I'd rather spend $99 for tinting vs $200or 250 since I'll have to do it again and will still be ahead of most on cost and quality.

cool, everybody has their own preferences. Glad we could agree on that sir, lol
oh and I'm one of the cheapest people on here but I don't plan to have to take my tint off and would hate to have somebody do a bad job especially on the back glass and then have to have it taken off and risk screwing up the defroster which is very costly. I just obsess over little things like that, lol. For me tint is gonna be on there for the rest of the time I have the car so I wanna make sure I only have to do it once so... Plus some films cool the inside of the car more but I guess most people wouldn't care cuz it wouldn't be that much of a difference in films to them. But yeah, your guy could be one of the best, so cool for you...Whateva works for you. I just hope people don't go and say "I got mines done for $75 so haha". If they didn't do their research like you did I would hate to see how that tint looks for that cheap cuz most pros that have been in the game for years will neva do it that cheap unless for a buddy or family
yes, I like to type alot, good day folks

It's cool, I like to help when I can. I'm trying to make it out to the ISP thing on 18th. My GS is starting to have a "look" so I feel a little better about coming out. Hope to see you out there.

I want to get my whole windshield tinted... I wonder who can do it for me?
If you're ever in the Gaithersburg area then my buddy Cyrus who has a audio, tint shop in old town Gaithersburg will surely hook you up. Just call him at 240-246-0909 and tell him Mike Lu referred you. He will hook you up 100% no questions asked. He did my tint job on my 07 IS and I love it. If you have any questions for me you can hit me up at 202-471-0235 anytime. I hope this helps.

I went to this shop several years ago to get an 83 Grand Marquis tinted and they gave me that crap about no warranty on illegal tint...I refused to get my car tinted there because the policy makes no sense. The guy straight up laughed at me when I told him I wanted illegal tint. No disrespect for me, I walked and found my favorite tint guy.

This is a one man business and Matt is the best there is in the VA area.
I have had two cars done by this guy, he works out of a BMW tuner shop in an industrial park. He does fantastic work. ALl of my friends have had their cars done here. If you live close enough to him he will even do house calls and tint in your own garage.
