help with weird problem
My carputer keeps freezing whenever I drive. Its weird because It has been in that position for a long time, without any issues. Doesnt seem to be due to excessive shock as it happens randomly, and yet it works fine in the driveway. Oh yea this is in the sc 
Hopefully its not the harddrive. I was having problems with one of mine and it began freezing from time to time then it began having problems booting up, then it just died. Replaced it and reloaded everything and it was good to go. One thing I should have done after I got my build 100% running right was clone my harddrive just in case. May want to think about doing that. Will save you some time just in case it is the harddrive.
What type of drive you running? Regular desktop one or laptop?

Fdisk is your friend, it may save you from going through alot of trouble.
even laptop hardrives are not designed to be moved while in operation, they aactually advise to place a laptop in standby before you move it, but no one ever does that.
If it happens randomly its more than likely a less important system file that got corrupted, and crashes when you try to access it. fdisk may be able to recover the file.
also be sure to refragment your drives often as the hard drive will have to do less work.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. The truth is this thread was a way for me to mention casually that i got the sc back on the road. More importantly the engine i rebuilt actually runs and is in the car. Yea It did start randomly freezing last night but I did fix the problem. Smitty, carlos, and jimmy did you guys forget I work with computers?
