It was a good time when it wasn't raining out. There was alot of nice cars out
and the turnout of people was good. I could only think how many would have been there if it was nice out. Alot of local cars were there and some new ones that i have never seen before. The silver r33 that parked by me was nuts. I had a great spot being I was one of the first three cars when you walk in by the gate. There was a blue rx7 over by emotions cars that I must have walked around 5 times. I felt bad for the drifting guys. They had it bad due to the weather. People were still going in the rain but no smoke = less fun! My best friend got a trophy with his s2000. If anyone has some pics please post them.
I had a great time as always. It seemed like the show was kind of weak though. There was plenty of extra parking for cars wanting to show. The promoter said over 30 cars dropped out earlier in the week. Regardless of that there were a lot of nice car. That one chick with the S-15 Silvia was insane. Brad you were right about that RX-7 that was with Emotion, it was pretty badass looking. The Fizz ISs were the sickest cars IMO.
I ended up taking home 5th in the "Best Street 4 Door Class". Considering that I was up against several Emotion cars in that category and 3 of them took home trophies, I'm surprised I even placed.
Smitty has all the pics from the show, so we'll just have to wait for his post.
It was good to see you guys out yesteday. I was only able to come for the beginning due to a family dinner but enjoyed the cars I did see. I did wish more cars were out but considering the weather I think it was a great turn out. Congrats on placing Leroy. See you at the next event!
I enjoed the show even though the rain put a damper on us for the majority of it. It was great seeing everyone. Albert it is good to finally see your long awaited car, I know that there was a great deal of headaches getting it here. One of the best parts of the whole show was the "STUPID NELOC TRICKS" aka the physical fitness tests that the military booths were hosting even though I was not able to do any pull ups. Kwamee and Albert tore it up against the two National Guardsmen in the push ups. And finally, congrats to you Leroy for the trophy.
I thought it was a great show, stressing quality and not quanity. Besides all the Lexus cars and the Supras, I loved that blue veilside RX-7. Congrats on the trophy Leroy, I really like your new blue lights. I wished I could of stayed around longer, but my friend wanted to show me some of the nightlife in D.C. I'll see you all next time for the BBQ.
