1. What brought YOU to the NELOC forum?
(this can be anything; referrals,,found by accident, just saw it,etc)
I found this forum back in 03 after purchasing a 94 ES300. I, more or less, just stalked the forums. looking for helpful tips, tricks, DIY's, and pictures of other modded cars to help me mod my own. After the ES the SC came, and batmobile was created in november of 05. same deal... looked for tips, tricks, diy's and another role model for the "batmobile." I was actually introduced to NELOC by some friends, which are now lurkers and inactive but i liked it and ran with it....

2. What is it about NELOC that appeals to YOU?
(ie. meets,, crazy people,,, fun threads,, etc)
What appeals to me about NELOC is once again the people. I feel that i've made great friendships and met alot of great people. even though i've been known for disappearing for a month or two and then hopping back in like nothing happened, LOL, i'd still say the bond i've built with these individuals are built to last and that's why we're still friends... REAL friends not just acquaintances i've acquired here at NELOC.

3. Finally,, what keeps YOU attracted to this forum?
I want to know my friends well-being. I want to know what they've done to their little pride and joy. i want to help my friends mod their cars. because whatever makes them happy, makes me happy. real "FRIENDS" (where's PJ? )

Well back when I first got my lex I used to go on a site called Lexuslovers.com It was pretty much like CL but not as good There I met Cherplex and BigMalik. Then I slowly transitioned to CL and I used to lurk in the NorthEast section for meets and be a regular with the ES OGs (moment of silence for all my ES brothers who have moved on) And cherplex hit me up about NELOC and the rest is history.

2. What is it about NELOC that appeals to YOU?
(ie. meets,, crazy people,,, fun threads,, etc)
Of course its the stickers. Stickers are hot. You get 5hp for each stick u go so I got them loaded up on da ES. j/k

But its the people. I know that I can go to a meet or call up my NELOC fam and we can have a good time and take our minds off the normal day to day BS. I like knowing that if I need some help that someone in NELOC will have my back and it dosent necessarily have to be car related. Even for people who I never met in person I know I dont have to worry about them cuz if they're with NELOC they're cool. Like one example is when GSoup was lookin for a new GS and found one in MD I was willing to look out for him cuz I knew if I needed somethin in NY he'd look out for me and I never even met him. I went to pick him up from the train station and didnt have to worry bout what if he crazy and gets in da car and blows my brains out or anything like that cuz he was down with NELOC and I had my .45 and I would have shot his azz up. LMAO I'm just playin Los .......or am I. HAHAHAHAAAA.

3. Finally,, what keeps YOU attracted to this forum?
The people is what definitely keeps me. I think sometimes we need to take time out and remember what drew us together, yeah its the cars initially but the crazy cool people is what I look forward to seeing when I go out to a meet. I definitely feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. Being in other car clubs in the past they are so focused on other agendas that they seem to alienate newer people who try to enter the circle and they dont stick around cuz they dont feel they're welcome. And I think NELOC has always done that well.





Just my final thoughts are, I took some time this morning to read through some of the threads in the NELOC section and then I looked through some of the older NELOC threads and I know winter was just over and everyone has been trying to get back into things but if we are as cool with everyone and love the people in NELOC as much as we say we do why is there so much tension it seems like. I think maybe we could break the ice with that person we havent talked to in a while. Maybe if you have time this week or this weekend PM or give a call to someone in NELOC you dont normally talk to and say hello and see how they're doing and I bet they'll be happy you called. 1. When I bought my sc I came across this site when searching for info. I signed up so I could search, then a few months later I actually scrolled below the sc forums. Never posted, just showed up to a wed night meet. Wasnt the best idea since this was around the time cars were being stolen and the location was changing every week.

2. Its a club of real car people. People who actually work on their cars and mod them themselves. I was amazed with how friendly everyone was (and a little skeptical at first).
