I was watching the Yankee/Blue Jays game tonight and they mentioned that their newest Yankee called Morgan Ensberg was given a ticket. The broadcasters said he was driving in Harlem and talking on his cell phone when he was pulled over by the cops. Despite saying that he was new to the city, a player on the Yankees, and flashing his Yankee card, the cop still gave him a ticket. This leads to a question. If your a out of towner and get pulled over for let's say making a right turn on a red light when turns on red are not allowed, is it a legitimate excuse to avoid a ticket?
it doesn't matter. its not worth fighting it.
one police officer once said to me after a little disagreement, "Your tint is too dark, i don't care if it's from the dealer, you need to take it up with them. the percentage of tint that your allowed in PA is 70%. Even if your from florida and you drive up here with below 70% tint, you'll still get pulled over for having too dark of a tint" (Florida evidentally allows their residence to have a lower percentage tint on their cars)

thats like, someone from the south where there are 70mph limits coming to NY and driving 70mph on a posted 55mph highway. There are signs saying NO TURN ON RED WITHIN NYC.....thats outright stupidity on the drivers part. Also, you cant make that bs about the cell phones, NY was one of the first to do it and it was highly publicized.

There are many places around the city from the littlest and biggest intersections that don't have those signs. Not saying that none exist but as big as the city is, there's not a lot of those signs.
