thanks JFLACO... i do love the bike except for the seat.... i hate it! i have the banana and it baffles me why they did the banana then BETTERED it by going split then bringing banana back. i have an '06

got a 01 gsxr6 blue/white. pretty stock, slip on, F.I.R.E mod, undertail, neons, semi polished . havent road in a bout a year and a half. looking to do some silly mods this year if i have some time.

From 01-03 it was made as a "sport" bike & 04 & later they considered it a "sport touring" bike, but its still 1 of the most popular stunters regardless. I agree that seat is ugly, u should change it. I'm always in the SI area(Todt Hill & Targee ST & near the Bayonne Bridge area) plus theres plenty of riders ovr there, Im gonna try to set up a meet for this year for the riders.

someone told me that if i wanted to put split seats, one of the changes would be changing the sub frame (???) which he said the total cost for all would be over $500. for now ill settle for the banana

He may be right, but Hondas are well known to be able to swap parts from 1 bike to the other, so make sure the sub frame isnt just able to swap, u never know..
