Carlisle '08 comment, questions,,,
I see that Leroy has beat me, once again to the question/answer portion of this forum. Looking at the site, some of you last minute registration people have been given an extension of 4/21. When this information was given to us back in December, which enabled us to release it to you in January, we were told that GROUP registration was to end on 4/16. I STRONGLY encourage those of you who have not registered yet to do so ASAP. Importance of pre-registration is as follows:
1. Ensures that you have already taken care of admittance, so little/no line worries for you having to stand in line along with those who have decided to pay at the gate.
2. We are registering everyone under a group listing, and therefore paying at the gate will affect our credit numbers for attendance; and I want all of you who attend to receive the proper credit in the aftermath thread which will be generated as well as have NELOC receive the proper credit due for having brought so many members to the event as a group.
3. While we want everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves, there needs to be a slight assemblance of order maintained here. Pre-registration enables not only the Carlisle promoters to know how many people are with our group, but also enables you fellow member (sub-organizers, [Leroy, myself, etc.]) to know exactly who is coming,, make sure that no one is misplaced/lost, etc. We also want to roll into the fairgrounds as one BIG organized group, such as what we did last year(trust me the attention we receive doing so will make all of this well worth it).
4. This also ensures that the information which we have passed on to you in the registration thread is as what we quoted you. Please remember that this is not "Officially" our meet, so we are subject to someone else's rules/time restraints, etc. In any other case, where we are putting the meet together from start to finish, last minute registration/signup would not have that much of an impact.
Putting together an event such as the magnitude of Carlisle is tedious, and I cannot imagine having to do so. While we are just a small part of the carlisle festivities, we (promoters, organizers, etc) want to do our part to make sure that everyone is accounted for and has a good time.
Please remember to let me know, via pm/phone/etc. your registration info so that I can keep track of this. As family, I want to make sure that NO ONE gets left behind.

Since you are so far away I would recommend you staying over Friday night so you do not miss the roll in on Saturday morning. We would like to have all 50+ cars roll in together.

We need to get together and plan where we are going to meet up Sat morning.
Maybe just linking up after everyone checks in and picks up their sticker in that parking lot if they do it the same as last year.

The plan is to meet up at the Registration building just like last year at 9:00 AM just like last year. Sorry I must have over looked that adding that in to the original post. I'll add it.
WOW

56 cars so far and there are still others to be added by the end of the week.

Don't we all! It's been a little quiet lately. One can only guess this is just the calm before the storm. The countdown is on.
