Snow tires in nyc?
I've never had snow tires before but when i lived in upstate ny, i realized snow tires are a necessity up there. My all-season pirellis were just too dangerous in the deep snow.
I just got a set of falken ziex 512 a/s tires and i've yet to experience them in the snow. I hope they will last me thru this winter.
My experience with all-season high performance tires were:
Continental Conti-extreme contact was excellent in the snow
Pirelli pzero neros are garbage in the snow....and they wore out in a year
For those of you in nyc area, are you running a/s or snow tires for the winter? what are ur experiences with snow tires?

i use stock tires. From goodyear. I think the traction is starting to go cause i do peel outs when turning hard. Havent gotten around to checking it yet.
Anyway I live in long island. Snow is not too hard but i think any general-use tire will work.

I got a set of snow tires for this year Blizzak LM-22s we'll see how they do but I had kumho ASX on my stock 17s and they werent bad I got stuck twice the whole winter and both times were my fault.
I had Michelin A/S tires on my 99ES it awas the MKV4 I think, same ones I have on my GS now and they didnt give my ES any problems during the winter, even in deep snow. For the GS, it might be another issue...i just wish I have the funds for Blizzaks
