Major Problems Need Some Help !!!
The shop in Pasadena looked quite "iffy", Smitty. I can't recommend it. The manager gave me the heebeegeebees too...
I have one other place that I trust, I'll stop by and chat with them today. Two GREAT guys who own a shop in Elkridge area, but not sure if they do major transmission work. I'll find out...

So I quickly bust a u-turn and pretty much coast it back into the parking lot. I leave the car on and pop the hood to see if I see anything and I see everything is connected but I hear the whinnying sound again. So with the car in park I give it some gas and it sounds normal.
Did you get the recall notice about gelling in the motor? I got one last year, and i no longer have my ES.. Here is a thread I posted about it.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=oil+gelling Good luck Smitty..

We drained the fluid and dropped the tranny pan and found some metal shavings in there and he thinks it may be the bearings. So he's gonna drop the whole thing and let me know sup. We also found a few more surprises under my car. A few loose bolts and two missing ones, but not on the tranny so we'll see what happens.
I'll be sure to keep everyone informed. Thanks for all the support.

Well I took it to the shop that Kwame recommended. Great guy.

UPDATE-
So I spoke with someone at the shop today and they told me that the guy working on my car Rob was out for the weekend but he was done with my tranny. So I was like what? He just got the trans out yesterday around lunch. He pretty much rebuilt the trans in like 3 hours. It was a bearing that was bad. So he fixed it, cleaned it up and all that needs to be done is getting it put back in, add some fluid, and test drive.
I took a few pictures with my camera phone, sorry for the quality, but looks like the ES is gonna be back soon
Definitely happy with the service and I probably would have the ride back this weekend but Rob had something happen to his townhouse in Ocean City so he had to roll. But will keep everyone posted on results.
Where my tranny used to be. lol

All cleaned up and ready to go back in.

happy to see you got that taken care of smitty. a competent tech can rebuild these things in no time, most of the of the labor involves taking it out and putting it back in and some shops will still charge you 1k just for that job
