Hi. I'm new to this site. Maybe someone can help. Today, while driving in the rain, I went through a puddle of water fairly quickly. About 30 - 40 minutes later the car jerked one time, the engine light came on and the speed decreased from 55 to 35 mph. From that point, the transmission feels strained and shifts slowly, especially in 1st and 2nd gear. Can anybody provide any advice? Is this just electrical components that need to dry out or will I have to replace my transmission. Any help will be much appreciated.
