i've been to the pocono's... i hear VT has more diamonds and harder slopes to go down.... not such a good idea unless your at least an intermediate skier or boarder... i would recommend pocono's

Well I am hitting up Mountain Creek on February 3rd, if you guys want to tag along that would be fine. Hopefully we get some snow by then.

I am in a ski club. I can see if we can piggy back on one of their events so that takes pressure off of planning and whatnot.

i might be down for a snowboarding trip. The big boys who are prone to getting hurt can hitup the snow tubing area...
i'll be going to jack frost big boulder the weekend of feb 3rd. Theres a cold front coming this week, lets hope it brings some snow finally.

Keep the snow up by the ski areas. I'm enjoying having the roads nice and salt free.

Not really true. Mountains like Mount Snow, Killington, Haystack have extensive beginner and intermediate trails. Basically the same as the ones in the Poconos, only longer.Originally Posted by Batmobile

Jay Peak, Pico, and the like, now here's where you don't find as much beginner terrain. But it is still there.
Don't be afraid of going outside the Poconos. I promise that you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Killington was a blast. It rained a little saturday but SNOWED on Sunday, which made up for it. This was my 1st time at Killington so it was nice to have such a large variety of trails. The drive is a little far but well worth it if you were to make it a week / weekend trip.
