are we having too many meets?
There are a few reasons why people don't show
1) it's a Wed, people do have to work
2) it's in Long Island, I think most of the NELOC NYC people are in Qns and Bklyn who come out to the meets
3) Standing around after you get there doesn't justify the drive.
4) Po-Po
What if we organize a NELOC meet like the first Fri or Sat of the month for next summer and organize events associated with the meets in different locations? Maybe someone can pick an area around their way and organize something each month.
Pool Hall
Bowling
Caravan
Food
Cookouts (Todd's house is always available for the impromptu cookouts)
just suggestions....

It's not that it's too many meets, these aren't really NELOC meets. Since these meets are going on every week most people feel like they aren't missing anything.

that definitely sounds look a good idea cliff..wednesday nights are hard..i dont mind driving to get to a meet but if i have work the next day (mon-fri) i cant be out real late..gotta get up at 6am each day 
i'd for sure be down for the first saturday or friday night of each month...and actually doing something at the meet besides just standing around
and if its saturdays we can get all the va/md/dc peeps to show

Ok, so here's my idea....
Why don't we meet on a Sat morning next month outside of my credit union. Everyone park and I'll pass out my loan slips and everyone can take turns going inside to pay one? Sound good?
LOL, lets see if we can get more people on board and make the meets next summer something you feel like you're missing if you down show up.
