Default IB4 !

I have a 12" JL IB4 that I bought an extra one. Can me made to fit in your existing hole like I did. Have a JL 250/1 powering it and it sounds clean and doesn't take up any trunk space.

How Much and how hard is it to make a 12" fit the factory opening ?? If it can be done without tearing the car up I will buy it .

hmm...i thought you can make a baffle for the 12IB4 and mount it from the bottom of the rear deck firing thru the 10" hole in the GS. It shouldn't be that hard at all, imo.

It isn't hard, you make a baffle and don't even touch any part of the car and get much better bass I have it done and it sounds great! All they do is take a piece of wood and cut a 12" hole in it and mount the speaker to it then mouint the wood to your car without cutting the car , just make sure the wood they use is not too thin as the speaker will flex , I think they used 3/4 in on mine. Works Great ! Will sell the new speaker for $100 shipped

do you know if I can do this with my ES3, it currently has an 8" mounted on the rear deck in the middle, just behind the rear seats. I was thinking of going to a 10". If it can be done, do you know if the existing amp will power it or should I get an upgrade on that also? Can a new amp be wired to the stock radio?

I don't know, sorry. You might want to post that in the ES fourms and see what they have to say.
