Pioneer AVIC-D1's are excellent units and you can get them brand new on ebay for less than $900.00.

I have this unit and it is just awesome. Comparing it to the latest units from Pioneer such as the AVIC-Z1 which are basically double the cost and not worth it in my opinion for the few extra features you get.
