This is the biggest W7 that JL Audio makes... I have a brand new in the box JL Audio 13.5 W7 sub. The box is opened so that I could look at it, but I never took it out of the box. This sub will hit really hard and will need a good amount of wattage to push it. I was going to rebuild my trunk, but I decided to work on other aspects of the car. I paid a pretty penny for this sub but its all good... This sub can hit with the right power! this sub retails for over $900.00

Would this sub be good for a competition SQ class system or better for a competition SPL system?

Hameed this is purely SPL but it does ok. I installed one in my buddies Acura and it pounds, wow was it loud. Made my hair stand up.

Thanks Lexis11! I would also say SPL. I have heard the 12w7 hit and that thing was pounding so hard. I bought this sub to redo my system that I already have, but I decided to work on other parts of the car first. This sub is brand new and never left the box. I opened it to see the top, but that ws about it...
