Description:
The time has come for me to sell my IS350. I absolutely love this car, but it's unfortunately no longer practical for me to own. I'm the first and only owner of the car. It has every option, besides the radar cruise control. It has the sport and luxury packages, including the Levinson DVD changer system, retractable rear sun shade, etc. I have two changes that I've made over the years to the car - one is a hardwired iPhone hookup to the car inside the center armrest, and the other is the "redout" plastic covers over the orange turn signals, which I think looks pretty good (but can be easily removed, if desired). I've never drilled for the front plate holder, since I think the car looks much better without. Everything works perfectly on the car. New brakes (rotors and pads) were done around 40,000 miles. The tires have about 10,000 miles on the set.
The car additionally has a 1/3 clear vinyl wrap on the hood, including headlights, rearview mirrors, and door sills. This wrap is also what's prevented the headlights from fading over time! The car has always been kept in a heated garage and always dealer-serviced. Absolutely no door dings! I've always kept it well-waxed and conditioned (as I hope the pictures show). The car was purchased in the Chicago area, moved with me to the California Bay Area, then moved back to the Chicago area (shipped each time in a covered trailer). I've driven it pretty minimally in the winter - however, I have a set of Blizzaks (and cheap wheels) with about 1,000 miles on them that I'll sell for an additional $500.
The negatives: it unfortunately was involved in one minor accident - getting rear-ended by someone not paying attention at a traffic light. The rear bumper cover was replaced as a result. No frame or other damage to speak of. The other negative is the fading dash that occurs with these model years over time - I've attempted to get the dealer to address this in the past, but I've found that applying a coat of vinyl protector on it a few times a year is sufficient to make me not really care about this issue. Finally, there are two very slight indentations on the rear bumper where someone "kissed" it with a front license plate. Even for someone as picky as me, this hasn't been worth addressing to any meaningful degree; it doesn't really show up in the pictures, either.
I'll be honest - I've gotten offers from different dealers at or slightly above my current asking price (which is still well below the KBB value). However, this car is the first car that my wife and I bought together, and it has quite a bit of sentimental value to me. It's worth some money to me to see the car going to someone who will continue to take care of it the same way I did, as opposed to some dealer who'll sell it off at auction.
Thanks for looking! Please let me know if you have any questions or want any other pictures.
I'm glad that the consensus (so far) is that I've priced it well. I have an offer from Carvana for $8K that I really don't want to pull the trigger on, for reasons stated above. I'm hopeful that I'll find it a good home via CL!
