Default stupid battery problems

well, there was a lot of corrosion on my battery terminals, but it started after the alarm went off a few times and i tapped the terminal with my keys, so when i got home i cleaned the terminals free of corrosion, try to start her up.... click click click click battery is DEAD... so now im kinda pissed... gettin my sister to bring me jumper cables to my dorm cuz no one else around here has em... so the point of this is that this event has pushed me to buy an optima yellow top... i always wanted to buy one but had no reason to because my battery was still good... oh well, bad turns to good in the end

If the battery in your '97 is the original, you've been living on borrowed time for a couple of years!!!!

I know what you mean my 97 sc has the original battery dealership tried to sell me a new one I said I wait and get my own at their prices

Now have a interstate megetron got it at our local firestone store and with my uncle's employee discount was 25% cheaoier than their asking price

I was living on borrowed time 62,000 miles later time for a new one and by the way lexus factory one was a interstate as well
