Default Courtesy Light

Hoping someone can help.

When I open my GS driver side rear door the inside light (courtesy light above the door) doesn't turn on. All the others work fine. The light works if you press the button to turn it on so I know the bulb is good. Lexus said it is probably not worth fixing/troubleshooting, knowing what they would charge.

I would like to know where the button is that senses the door is open and use some tuner spray on it or replace it myself. Thoughts?

Thanks.

The sensor is build inside the door actuator. You have to replace a whole door actuator. This's very common problem on the GS, especially the early production. The actuator and labor may cost you around $400.00-$500.00 depending where you can the part and the labor rate.
You can search on ' Door Actuator' a lot of us had been talking about this problem before.

Thanks for the info guys.

Has anybody replaced it themselves? Can't be that hard, can it?
