Replacing MPH to KPH speedometer

Default Replacing MPH to KPH speedometer

Hi guys.
i recently replaced my speedometer dial from MPH to KPH. But dial is still showing the old reading of mph ...so can u tell me if we change mph to kph do we also need to replace speed sensor from mph to kph????

Press the right steering wheel spoke button and hold it until Settings displays in the
instrument panel. Press to advance through Language and Metric. When Metric is
up just tap and choose. Let's see...200 KMPH equals 123 MPH...

Thanks for replying. Actually i have GS400 2001 model. So i dont think so i have spoke button

A quick look through the 2000/2001 manual does not show the steps I outlined
from more recent models. You may be correct in that you need to replace the
speed sensor to set this up. I am surprised it is not a user changeable setting
because we use them both when driving to and from Canada.
