Default NGK vs DENSO PLUGS?

Would you use NGK or Denso spark plugs as replacements? I'm replacing them in my '98 LS400. Mechanic said the Denso plugs I buy here in US are not the same quality Denso as what came in the car.

From what I've read, the most common answer appears to be "either", quickly followed by a seemingly almost equal share of Denso or NGK cool-aid drinkers. A few folks recommend the TorqueMaster plugs from extremespark.com. One survey I found, though, had a much larger margin of NGK supporters.

Personally, I'm not quite at the replacement point yet, so the verdict is still out for me on this issue. I'll be watching the thread for responses, though.
