Davenport is a very honest & reputable bunch. They will not put junk on your car & if they are using a cheaper part it is because they have not had problems with them in the past.

I would clean my solenoid & use really nice PS fluid & flush the system before I gave into replacement. I have had some luck with Royal Purple. Original rack on my 186,000 mile 94 LS.

Maintain & flush your PS fluid folks. It is worth the effort.

I had to replace my steering gear assembly just a few weeks ago (well not me technically, my mechanic). I picked up a rebuilt one on car-parts.com for an much less than LEXUS wanted.
