The manual says we should change the oil every 7500 miles under perfect conditions, every 5000 under somewhat harsh conditions. However, everyone I've spoken to still says 3000 miles. I really dont recommend that you look for these bargain places to do the oil on a car like this. Most of the time the workers are very incompetent, they could put in whatever oil they have, and not what the car needs, as well as a low quality oil filter. If I do go to one of these places, I always buy a genuine oil filter from the dealer, and buy my own quality oil. If you have the chance to go to the dealer, then I would do that. I see your in NJ, I have a friend who was a mechanic for Rallye Lexus for 5 years, he now has his own shop and does his own work. Probably not worth the trip for you, but if your interested, you can check out his shop, www.MaximumTuning.net

I have an 07 IS350 WITH 46K on it and 07 ES350 with 86K. I always take both cars to the Toyota dealer. I would not recommend you take it to those cheap places and try saving an extra few bucks because they can really do damage to your car with the knowledge they have of the newer cars and what they need. I can change it myself and save a few bucks but by taking it to the dealer they also check your whole car and add fluids, if you are low; on top of that they tell you what needs to be changed soon. If you take it to one of those cheap places and they mess up you could end up paying a lot for the damages they did. I once took my es350 for a oil change at the dealer and they messed up by not screwing the cap all the way. I noticed it a few days later and called them. They came picked my car up from my house changed everything and pressure washed my drive way, any other place would not do that!

Also by taking it to the dealer they upload it on carfex, which will helps when you try selling the car in the future! Most of the cheap places don't do that.

you can also upload your records on Lexus.com under Owner's resources>My Lexus

All Lexus dealers will update this by VIN.
