Default Timing belt and service

whats up CL! I got some questions about maintenance and stuff, maybe it should go in the maintenance forums... anyhow, i'm alittle past 100k on my 99 GS3 and i know i sould get my timing belt changed and some other things done, rite? Do you know where i can get the service done for a good price in the bay area because i hear that different dealers charge different prices, also which have good customer service?? i might be able to drive it down south cali if the cost and service is right. If i choose to get it done by a mechanic friend what are some things i should check/change other than what it says in my manual? thanks in advance!

Don't where you can take it in your area but I'd recommend a dealer,

I'd recommend you do the:
T-Belt
Idler/Tensioner pulley
Cam seals (2)
Crank seal
and waterpump and seals

Mine is getting a timing belt now and i asked to have the id pully replaced and he said it was dry as a bone, it would be a waste of money. i was going to also repalce both raidiator hoses and he said that those things last forever.

is he correct or is he trying to save his crew some labor for cheap parts?
