HELP! Airbag Warning Light On!
A local tire repair shop read the code as B1927. He said the code meant rear passenger seat belt. I cannot find this information online. Most of what I found says "passenger side airbag fault." One site says: "Toyota: Short in rear P/T squib (LH) circuit (to ground)." Questions: 1. What does this all mean and is this going to be costly to fix? 2. Could this have anything to do with collision damage to that area 2 months ago? I have an appt. Mon. morning at the dealership. I have a 2007 ES350 and my warranty just expired in Sept.

B1927/78 Short to GND in Rear Passenger Side Pretensioner Squib Circuit
Its a problem with your right rear seat belt assembly. Codes like this often come up after an accident because the pretensioner has deployed. It wont be covered under warranty. Call your insurance company and let them know youre taking your car in for inspection for possible accident related damages. Once they diagnose the problem, they can send the findings to your insurance. If it was related, they should reopen the claim and cover it.
