Techtom Code Reader – Diagnostic Port Tech Question
I purchased a Techtom MDM-100T which gives readings via one of the diagnostic ports. I tried hooking it up to the port under the driver’s side dash but it is reading VERY poorly. It gives random updates that are usually at least 10 minutes apart. A Techtom tech said I would need to use the engine diagnostic port but the guy I purchased this from doesn’t have the cable or connector end to do so. Techtom doesn’t sell it.
Below are 2 diagrams from what the ports appear to be to me. The red dots in the dash port show where the Techtom’s wires are going into. I want to wire it directly to the Engine’s port so I need to know where they should go. I took it to a stereo shop but they weren’t able to help. If anyone has an extra one of these cables or just a connector end that would work PM me!! Otherwise, I hope someone can help with the wiring.
