Hi all need some help and advice on how to fyi. I own a 96 lexus es300 159k
To keep it short my battery light and abs light came on the next day after taking it in to pep boys just for them to check on the basic maintaince of the car such as brakes and tires. So I checked my battery and everywhere I went to get it tested came out good. I went ahead and put a new alternator anyway. It fixed the abs problem temporarily but the battery light still kept coming on and off. And now the abs light is back on. How do I fix this problem? Did pep boys touch my fuses? Maybe I should get a new battery? Need some expert advice here please help. Thank you all!

 

I would get someone to actually test those two items. There is a possibility you got a bad alternator - that happens somewhat often actually.

 

Hate to revive this but I'm stranded on my way home from work with the exact same issue today.. Was it the alternator?
