wont rev over 4rpm????

i got 2001 sport design gs300 wont go over 4rrpm always hestitated once reached at 4k rpm ..whats possible wrong w it please help???? ty in advance

No other syspstoms at all n it's hesitates to rev over 4k rpm

Could potentially be a throttle issue, does the pedal feel weird at all, like you have to press it farther than you used to?

Aside from the max rpm thing, it drives good and has good power???

ty guys for all infor . it was the fuel pump ..i replaced it n now she is run like new ...
