I'm about to service the timing belt on a 2005 GX 470. Of course the water pump will happen at the same time. I'm looking at Aisin and Gates complete packages on eBay. Aside from going with "Genuine Toyota," could I get some opinions on the quality of parts that are available for the job?

 

Aisin manufacturers many OEM Toyota parts so you should be ok with a water pump from them. I believe there is a kit that you can pick up from most import parts stores which includes an Aisin water pump, gaskets, tensioner, and Mistsuboshi timing belt.
