Default IS250 wheel bearings possible need replacement, cost?

Hello,

My '08 IS250 has been making a buzzing/humming noise (from the driver seat, sounds like it's the front right). Does anyone have any idea how much it would cost to replace this before I bring it to my mechanic? My mileage on the car is 158000 KM / 98000 miles. Sewell probably won't be an option as shipping is too much, but I'll see. One shop quoted me about $800 over the phone...

Thanks for your insight.

Really depends... If your car is RWD and not AWD, the front bearing/hub assembly comes as an assembly, and are extremely easy to remove. I wouldnt think more than 1.5-2 hours of labor for each side, and thats on the high side. Im not sure of the part cost, but try to stick with an OEM part if you can.

It's an AWD vehicle. The part I think I have to replace goes for $250-300 on Sewell... For each corner... With 1.5-2 hours of labour as well... Ouch. I just wanted to get a rough idea of the cost so I do not get ripped off as I have to take my mechanic's word for it and there is no guarantee that the noise will be gone...
