I know, i know...its a crap shoot going to jiffy lube for an oil change.
I started using the local one in Redmond after my wife went a few times with her jeep.
I have taken my 2007 is 350 there for a couple years now without issue.
This last time however they didnt tighten the pan properly or they didnt replace the gasket.
Not sure yet which one but that is definetly where the oil came from that sprayed all down the central rear section of my underbody and got into my alternator.
My alternator fried.
I thought i did it because i added an amplifier until i removed it and found it dripping oil inside.
This lead to the inspection of the underbody and locating the drip from the oil pan.
I had an oil change 4 days before my alternator went out.
Havent gone to Jiffy Lube to complain yet as i had already planned to swap my alternator for a 320amp MechMan....so it was coming out in the next couple weeks anyway.
but just a warning...if you use Jiffy Lube check for leaks the next day just to be safe.
My only question would be, how would oil from the oil pan travel UP and FORWARD to the alternator.. might want to check your front cover and valve cover gaskets for leaks...

that was me using the wrong terminology...the leak is from the gasket around the oil FILTER...not pan....my bad.
